Dog Race – A Cheerful Challenge

My aim was to improve my skills on taking photos of moving “objects”. As I’m not interested in sports or cars I searched for something different. There it was: the “JederHundRennen” in Gelsenkirchen. It’s a dog race where all kinds of dogs are allowed to start in various categories and most of the owners and the judges don’t take it too seriously. With 191 dogs at the start it was fun – and hard work to receive some clear photos. My conclusion: To get a sharp, clear photo with a shutter speed less than 2500 sec. was just good luck. Most of the photos you see here are with shutter speed 2500 sec., ISO 400, aperture 4,5-7,1.
