1 General

Personal information is any data with which you could be personally identified. We adhere to the policy of data avoidance. As far as possible a collection of personal data is avoided.

1.2 Dealings with Personal Data

Unless indicated otherwise in the following chapters, the legal basis for the handling of your personal data results from the fact that such handling is required to make available the functionalities of the website requested by you (Article 6 1 b General Data Protection Regulation [“GDPR”]). Also, personal data will only be processed with your consent (Article 6 1 a GDPR). As a matter of principle, they are not forwarded to third-parties.

3 Data Security

3.1 Data protection

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy. If you use this website, various pieces of personal data will be collected. All data on our website are secured through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification, and distribution. We shall, however, not assume any liability for the destruction and damage of data. Please note that data transmitted via the internet (e.g. via e-mail communication) may be subject to security breaches. Complete protection of your data from third-party access is not possible.

3.5 Registration for closed user groups

There is further specific information that we only share with a limited group of people. Therefore we file the following personal data:

  • User name and password
  • E-Mail address

We process this personal data in order to provide you with an access to our website. They are automatically deleted in case you deactivate your user account.

4 External services or content

4.1 Partners

We may include third-party services and/or content on our website. When you use such third-party services or when third-party content is displayed, communication data are exchanged between you and the respective provider for technical reasons. The respective provider of the services or content may also process your data for own additional purposes. To the best of our knowledge, we have configured the services and content of providers known to process data for own purposes in such a way that either any communication for other purposes than to present their services or content on our website is blocked, or communication only takes place once you have actively opted to use the respective service. However, since we have no control over data collected and processed by third parties, we are not in a position to provide binding information regarding the scope and purpose of such processing of your data. 4.2 Social Media platforms

Our own social media sites may be reached through links on this website. Using these links you shall reach the corresponding websites of the third-parties (e.g. Facebook) and be able to share our content. As soon as you have opened the third-party site you shall enter the area of responsibility of the third-party, so that their data protection policy or explanation of data usage is applicable. Since we have no control over this we recommend to log out from the respective third-party website before the use of the respective link to avoid unnecessary forwarding of data, so that the third-party provider cannot create user profiles through the use of the links.

4.3 Affiliate Links

We may place affiliate links for certain third-party providers on our website. With these links we generate revenues (advertising cost refunds) if purchases are made from the respective third-party or if its page is called up. The third-party provider may use cookies to be able to locate the origin of the purchases or the call. However, this does not affect the use of our website and, in particular, does not constitute a purchase obligation. Set affiliate links should serve you only as a facilitation of your purchase. Also, the respective data protection policies of the third-party providers apply.

4.4 Google Web Fonts

This website may use Google Web Fonts. The Web Fonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to allow them to be used for the presentation. As your browser connects to Google servers Google becomes aware of your IP address calling this website. Should the browser not support Google Web Fonts or prevent access to the same text will be shown in standard print. The usage of Google Web Fonts to optimize the optical appearance of this website is a legitimate interest (Article 6 1 f GDPR). The respective data protection policy of Google applies.
