Every-Dog-Race – a challenge for photographers

The so called Every-Dog-Race on the Sighthounds race course in Gelsenkirchen is a photographic challenge. The dogs run a short distance on the sandy race course – the fastest make it in less than six seconds! On the side-strip and behind the home stretch you’ll find the standing/lying/ crouching photographers.

Small dogs, less than 50 cm high, are able to fly – all paws are in the air at once.

Bigger dogs may have contact to the ground with one paw – but not necessarily.Dogs with long and black hair are extremely difficult for photographers.

Bulldogs are cute.

Pugs are photogenic.

No matter how fast the mistress may run, the dog is the quicker one, even if it’s not bigger than 30 cm high.
